Exciting changes are afoot at Centria Autism as we announce our remodeled Behavior Technician (BT) Training program, a pioneering initiative designed to optimize and enhance the quality of care our BTs provide. This overhaul reaffirms our commitment to improving lives and delivering exceptional care to our clients. With an initial 48-hour comprehensive in-person training course, we aim to empower our BTs with the knowledge and practical skills they need to excel in their roles.
What makes this training program uniquely Centria-specific is its competency-based approach, meticulously tailored to resonate with our newly structured Foundations of Care. This program represents our persistent efforts to incorporate empathy, compassion, and trauma-informed care from day one, setting a new standard for the industry.
The training is immersive and interactive, giving our technicians firsthand experience of what it's like to provide therapy. New Behavior Technicians are guided through an actual session with a seasoned BT Trainer and get to shadow active therapy conducted by experienced technicians. This hands-on exposure ensures a smooth transition from theoretical learning to practical application, creating a competent, well-prepared BT workforce.
We understand that our BTs need to be fully equipped to ensure they can deliver the best possible outcomes for their clients. Therefore, our training focuses on vital skill-building areas, ranging from identifying client emotions— discerning if a client is Happy, Relaxed, and Engaged— to teaching through joy using the client's Foundational Plan. We also place a strong emphasis on becoming well-versed with our key digital platforms, such as our proprietary data tool CareConnect, to streamline operations and ensure efficient data management.
The BTs will be trained on navigating the iPad and other essential digital platforms that are key to our service delivery. These platforms enable our BTs to collect data, complete sessions, and access the Foundational Plan in CareConnect, ensuring a cohesive, tech-enabled approach to providing autism therapy.
The remodeling of our BT Training program is more than just an upgrade. It's a manifestation of Centria Autism's unwavering commitment to quality, empathy, and innovation. By equipping our BTs with a robust training program, we can better ensure they are prepared to provide the empathetic, compassionate, and trauma-informed care our clients deserve.
We are immensely proud and thrilled to be unveiling this cutting-edge training program, a significant milestone in our quest for providing exceptional care. As we journey forward, we are excited to see how these changes will positively impact our BTs and, more importantly, the lives of those we serve. At Centria Autism, we are shaping the future of autism care, one Behavior Technician at a time.
