What Is EIBI?

Early Intensive Behavioral Intervention (EIBI) is the gold standard of ABA therapy programming for children under 5 years old. A one-to-one therapy program, EIBI helps young children build and improve in developmental areas needed for everyday life.

EIBI establishes specific goals designed around each individual child's behavioral challenges and goals. Once goals are determined, an individualized treatment plan is created and applied to break these goals into small, manageable tasks.

4 Key Elements of EIBI

EIBI focuses on building and maintaining key skills while reducing challenging behaviors. To drive the best outcomes, EIBI follows these four principles:

  • 1

    Early Intervention

Best outcomes are observed for children ages 18 months to five years old.

  • 2

    High Commitment

EIBI recommends a minimum of 35 hours of therapy per week.

  • 3

    Individualized Treatment Plans

Unique therapy plans are created based on each child's specific needs.

  • 4

    In-Home or In-Center

Therapy can be administered in-home or at an ABA Therapy center.
