The Federal Public Health Emergency related to the COVID-19 pandemic ended on January 31, 2022. This means that your Medicaid coverage will be affected if you do not reapply or complete enrollment by April 1, 2023.

To avoid any gaps in your healthcare coverage, including ABA Therapy for your child, it is important that you take action as soon as possible to ensure that your Medicaid benefits continue.

What Do You Need to Do?

  • Update your current account or create an account at gateway.ga.gov. Through your Gateway account, you should make sure that their information is up-to-date, including phone number, address, job or income, and number of people in their household. When you visit Georgia Gateway, please scroll to find the following options:
    1. Click on "Manage My Account/Login" if you have used gateway.ga.gov to manage Medicaid benefits before. (You may have already used gateway.ga.gov to apply for or manage Medicaid, SNAP, TANF, MA, CAPS, or WIC benefits.)
    2. Click on "Create an Account" if you have not used gateway.ga.gov before.

You have the option to choose how you would like to receive notifications. Select "email" to get convenient updates online. More instructions are here.

If you select "email", please enter the primary email address where you regularly access your email online to receive timely notifications. Note: If your immediate family members/children are covered by Medicaid and have an account on Georgia Gateway, please make sure you list the same primary email address for each member of your family.

You can also update your contact information by calling 1-877-GA-DHS-GO (1-877-423-4746) OR dial 711 if you are deaf, hard-of-hearing, deaf-blind, or have a problem with speech OR do it in-person by schedule an appointment at your local Division of Children and Families Office (DFCS) and we'll help you get updated.

Individuals who no longer qualify for these programs may have other healthcare coverage options through the HealthCare Marketplace, which will be explained in future communications.

Thank you for your attention to this important matter. We value your continued partnership with us and want to ensure that you have access to the healthcare you need. We will continue to send communications as we learn more.
