CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19) UPDATES & RESOURCES | Centria Healthcare

As the coronavirus (COVID-19) situation continues to evolve, our commitment to the safety of our families and employees remains our top priority while continuing to provide essential healthcare services to our clients.

This web page will serve as Centria's Coronavirus (COVID-19) Updates & Resources page.

In addition, we encourage everyone to monitor the CDC's website for the most current updates from the CDC.

A MESSAGE FROM CENTRIA

The health and safety of the families we serve, as well as our employees, is our top priority. Our centers, offices, and employees are prepared and equipped to safely provide essential healthcare services to our families for all our business lines including ABA therapy and Home Healthcare.

With regard to our ABA therapy, The Department of Homeland Security, as well as the States where we provide services have all deemed behavioral healthcare services, including ABA therapy, as essential.

Research shows that ABA therapy really does make a difference and every single day counts and under-treatment or mistreatment of autism can lead to regression. At a time when many important routines, including access to school and socialization opportunities, are no longer available to a child with autism, we are committed to providing therapy for families that are interested in maintaining continuity of care. Our team members are working to continue to support our families through this uncertainty.

Our Emergency Preparedness Team is actively monitoring the situation as new details emerge, and we are dedicated to staying on top of the issue and properly handling concerns as they arise.

We will continue to keep our families and our employees informed as the situation evolves.

WHAT CENTRIA IS DOING TO KEEP YOU SAFE

Home-Based Therapy Sessions

  • Implemented health screening for staff and clients before each therapy session
  • Developed COVID-19 guidelines, informed by the CDC, regarding proper infection control procedures
  • Providing our staff with proper protective equipment, including gloves and hand sanitizer
  • Social Distancing: We are working with our payors in order to increase the availability of using Telesupervision services for our BCBAs in order to limit the number of individuals entering our client's home
  • Ongoing reminders to our employees to follow proper protocol and alert us immediately if they are feeling ill, recently come into contact with someone confirmed with COVID-19, or recently traveled to an affected area

Center-Based Therapy Sessions

  • As we work to accommodate as many families as we can who would like to move to in-home services, the capacity of our centers will decrease allowing for more social distancing opportunities in the center

  • Developed COVID-19 guidelines, informed by the CDC, regarding proper infection control procedures

Home Healthcare Visits

  • Ongoing reminders to our employees to follow proper protocol and alert us immediately if they are feeling ill, recently come into contact with someone confirmed with COVID-19, or recently traveled to an affected area

Employee Protocols
